Lakshman Yagati, Ph.D., is a Principal Engineer at Google DeepMind. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in addition to a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Dr. Yagati has carved a niche for himself in the realm of large-scale distributed computing systems, web-scale search, and natural language understanding. His extensive hands-on experience building pioneering systems used globally showcases his unique proficiency in this field. Dr. Yagati’s illustrious career spans academia, with commendable roles at the University of Delaware and Drexel University, and research, including a fruitful stint at Bell Labs, Murray Hill, NJ.
