Marcelo Roca has over two decades of experience across the entrepreneurial and venture capital ecosystem. At Capria Ventures, he leads the AI Innovation Team, focused on accelerating AI adoption across the firm’s portfolio companies and internal operations.

Marcelo works closely with founders to identify, prototype, and deploy practical AI use cases that drive business value. He also leads the strategy and coordination of developers building AI-powered MVPs and agents for both portfolio companies and Capria’s internal workflows, helping increase productivity and operational efficiency across the organization.

He also leads the GAIN Community (Global AI Network), an initiative focused on fostering collaboration, sharing AI learnings, and organizing technical value-added events for founders, operators, and builders.

Prior to joining Capria, Marcelo launched and led the expansion of Xcala, a LATAM and Caribbean association of angel investors, and co-founded Transops, a company focused on enterprise procurement technology.
Marcelo holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and an MBA from IAE Business School.

Outside of work, Marcelo enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and playing tennis.
