Masai School is India’s leading outcome-based coding institute. It uses a pay-after-placement model and an AI-first curriculum to create job-ready software engineers, including students with no prior technical background. More than 70 percent of its learners come from Tier 2/3 cities, and about 30 percent are women. Masai was selected by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) as one of the country’s few premier skilling partners.
Its flagship program is a 30-week coding bootcamp where students progress only after proving real mastery. Masai has trained and placed more than 7,000 graduates across 1,000-plus companies. Masai unlocks valuable coding skills for those overlooked by conventional education, recognizing abilities beyond resumes, from high school graduates to cab drivers. Masai now also offers prepaid AI/CS/ML courses in partnership with IITs. Masai also runs Placed, a recruiter-facing platform positioned as a Naukri challenger. It reimagines fresher hiring with AI-driven matching, competency mapping, and interview automation.
Masai School was founded in 2019 by Prateek Shukla, Nrupul Dev, and Yogesh Bhat. Prateek is an IIT Kanpur alumnus and a serial entrepreneur who previously co-founded Grabhouse, one of India’s early rental marketplaces that was acquired by Quikr. Nrupul, also an IIT Kanpur alumnus, was an early engineering leader at Flipkart, while Yogesh brings over 30 years of experience in EdTech, Consulting, and Sales combined.
