Habitat (Civilsdaily) is a social-learning ed-tech platform for civil-service and competitive-exam aspirants, built around peer discussions, real-time doubt-clearing, on-demand lectures, shared notes, assessments, and adaptive study plans. In flagship mentorship cohorts, Civilsdaily reported 80% UPSC Mains-stage clearance among participants who appeared, versus <1% final selection across the overall UPSC applicant base, indicating much stronger outcomes than traditional large-batch coaching. Habitat leverages ML and NLP to personalize study plans and scale mentor-led preparation at significantly lower cost.

Founded in 2016, Habitat was started by Rohit Pande and Shikhar Sachan, both IIT Guwahati alumni with strong product and strategy experience. Rohit led the company’s vision and technology direction after earlier roles in analytics and consulting, while Shikhar led product and technology at Times Internet and IBM.
