IIT Guwahati, in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Masai School, has launched the country’s inaugural Outcome-Driven Microcredit Course in Computer Science Education.

The micro-credit programme in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) introduces a comprehensive curriculum encompassing key domains essential for success in the contemporary job market.

From programming to system design, the course covers a range of critical topics designed to equip students with practical skills demanded by employers.

Unlike traditional academic programmes, the micro-credit course goes beyond imparting theoretical knowledge. It is tailored to ensure that students not only receive quality education but also emerge ready for employment.

The initiative aims to secure job placements and internships based on students’ academic performance, thereby bridging the gap between academia and industry.

The programme leverages innovative teaching methodologies, including a blend of live and recorded sessions conducted by esteemed professors from IIT Guwahati.

Rigorous assessment systems maintain high educational standards, ensuring integrity and quality throughout the learning experience.

Prateek Shukla, Co-Founder and CEO of Masai School, expressed his commitment to empowering students with practical skills essential for success in the tech industry.

The collaboration with NSDC and IIT Guwahati underscores the partners’ dedication to revolutionising technical education and preparing the next generation of tech professionals.

Gaurav Trivedi, Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs at IIT Guwahati, highlighted the micro-credit programme’s holistic approach to technical education. By combining academic rigour with industry exposure, the initiative aims to nurture well-rounded professionals capable of meeting the challenges of the dynamic tech landscape.
