K.L. Mukesh is a Venture Partner at Capria Ventures and a senior business leader with extensive experience in operations management across global markets. He has built and scaled businesses in television and healthcare, led large-scale operations, and advised startups and nonprofits.
Mukesh played a pivotal role in managing operations and technology for DIRECTV Latin America and DIRECTV Japan, overseeing customer operations, field operations, loyalty and retention marketing, and IT. He was instrumental in DIRECTV Latin America’s bankruptcy turnaround and DIRECTV Japan’s merger with SkyPerfecTV.
As an entrepreneur, Mukesh co-founded Akeso Healthcare, an outpatient facility with diagnostic labs, treatment rooms, and ultrasound services. Under his leadership, Akeso grew to include 49 doctors and 180,000 registered patients before being acquired by Apollo Hospitals Group. He later served as CEO of the Picolabs Division at Biosense, focusing on affordable healthcare diagnostics.
Currently, Mukesh advises several organizations, including Karma Healthcare (primary healthcare), Arera Technologies (emergency medical response), GyanPro (science education), and Bempu (neonatal care). His work is driven by a passion for leveraging technology to improve access to and reduce the cost of primary healthcare.
Mukesh holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a Master’s in Statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute.
