Streamlining Meeting Notes

• Challenge: Historically, Capria’s globally dispersed team often needed help to locate notes or encountered inconsistencies in quality and completeness. Additionally, team members attending meetings also faced a dilemma—actively participating or taking notes.
• Solution: Enter ReadAI, a solution designed to autonomously participate in meetings (with built-in filters to exclude private conversations) and deliver summaries to a dedicated Slack channel accessible to the entire team.
• Outcome: Implementing ReadAI accelerated a transformation in internal communication and information sharing. It transcended silos, enabling team members to quickly catch up on meeting discussions they had missed. It has also empowered team members to be selective about the meetings they attend while staying informed about ongoing conversations.

Tracking Value-Add Activities

• Challenge: At Capria, we engage in numerous value-add activities for our portfolio founders, such as providing critical introductions or custom resources. However, our portfolio value-add team found tracking these activities or reading through emails and documents to understand what has been done quite cumbersome.
• Solution: We asked the team to start cc’ing a shared value-add email alias whenever they engaged in value-add activities. We then set up automation through Zapier and OpenAI to create AI-generated summaries of the value-add activity in a single Google Sheet.
• Outcome: Now, our value-add and investment teams can quickly reference and showcase our contributions to investors and potential founders by copying and pasting these examples.

Enhancing Shared Learning with our “Article Summarizer”

• Challenge: Our team is flooded with articles and reports on the global entrepreneurial and tech ecosystem, making it difficult to quickly catch up on resources, links, and reports shared across our Slack workspace. While there are numerous AI tools that summarize articles and PDFs, the summaries are of variable quality, and the learnings from these summaries are isolated to the team members generating them.
• Solution: We created an “Article Summarizer” Slack channel powered by Zapier’s ChatGPT integration. Team members can copy and paste an article link, and an AI-generated summary with key takeaways is posted in response.
• Outcome: This provides the quickest and easiest method to generate a high-quality summary and aggregates these summaries into one channel for other team members to share learnings and gain sharp insights from other team members’ posted articles and reports.
