Pascal Vinarnic is an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist with a distinguished career in private equity and social innovation. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Ceres Finance Ltd, a London-based secondary direct distressed fund manager focused on technology assets in the United States, which he established in 1992.
Previously, Pascal was a Partner at Bain & Company (1984–1992), where he played a key role in Bain Capital’s European expansion as its first representative in the region. Since 2015, he has served as an independent Board Member at Astorg, a leading European private equity firm, where he is also a member of the Investment Committee.
Pascal is deeply committed to financial innovation in the social sector. In 1994, he founded the Demeter Foundation, which develops socio-economic tools for the reintegration of at-risk youth, individuals with disabilities, and former convicts. The foundation also advances microfinance, entrepreneurship, social pledges, and venture philanthropy.
Pascal holds a degree from HEC Paris (1983) and is a strong advocate for integrating entrepreneurship with the social economy. He believes in long-term engagement and innovation to drive meaningful impact, both in business and philanthropy.
